The German Brandenburg University of Technology in partnership with the UKH conducted a 4-day-long workshop focusing on the Sustainable Climate Protection.
Twenty-nine participants from the UKH and other Kurdish universities, namely Salahaddin, Zakho and Ishik as well as International University of Erbil took park in the intensive training held at the UKH main campus in Erbil.
The German DAAD organization funded the programme that started on October 1, 2018 until October 4.
The training aims to cover different topics including climate change law and policy, the case for renewable energy and student participation.
Professor Eike Albrecht, Chair of Civil and Public Law at the Brandenburg University, leads the German team.
