The School of Social Sciences' collaborative project with the University College London (UCL) and a number of other distinguished British institutions, including the University of Oxford (Ashmolean Museum) has been approved for funding by the UK Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
The amount of funds allocated to the project is two million British pounds (more than US$ 2.5 million). As a part of the project we will establish a Research Centre at the UKH financed and staffed by the money allocated to the project for a period of four years. The rest of funds will be allocated to financing research grants.
Dr Anwar Anaid, the Dean of Social Sciences who initiated the project from the UKH side is a member of the Project Management Committee.
Further details of the project will be announced on the UKH and UCL websites at a later date.
