After being closed for renovations, the library of the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) is now open in a totally different shape and look.
UKH President Keith Sharp, Doug Morrow, Public Affairs Officer at the US Consulate General in Erbil, the library director Lesley Gaj as well as our students and faculty members attended the opening ceremony of the library on Tuesday 13 December 2022.
The president congratulated the students and the staff for the opening of the library.
He also thanked the 4 Bridges Company in Erbil and presented a shield of appreciation to their representative, for their tireless efforts in renovating the UKH library and gardens over the past few months.
Doug Morrow expressed his happiness to see the brand new American Corner Erbil which is located inside our library. He also hailed the cooperation between UKH and the US Consulate General in Erbil and hoped for continued collaboration in the future.
The UKH library was first opened in 2006 and is open to students and the public.
