Overview
I have worked in a variety libraries – mainly academic, but also prison and public, for 28 years in Britain before joining the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr in October 2007, initially as Cataloguing Librarian and since June 2013 as Director of Library.
Developing and improving services to provide customers with quality services, whilst valuing the individuality of each customer and staff member, are the tenets to which I work. My areas of specialism and interest lie specifically in
- Cataloguing and classification
- Library management
- Project management
- Quality assurance
- Resources and collection development
- Staff training and development
My aim is to enable customers through improved systems and services to access resources they need and so enhance their skills and knowledge across a range of areas.
