Tracy has come here to UKH to share and give her passion and expertise with students and staff. The art center/ studio is based in G5.The door is always open to students and staff to come and be creative, to learn the skills of drawing, painting, sculpture, writing, poetry or to simply be. To find wellbeing and happiness, to remove the negative and encourage the positive; to be able to develop in areas of personal need as each one of us is a unique individual- increasing confidence, learning about positive relationships, and building friendships. The Centre will encourage emotional, spiritual, physical wellbeing by using creativity in all its magnificent forms. From preschool to adulthood, research has shown how the arts and more specifically, arts in fused teaching can accomplish greatness for the individual. It engages students by allowing more control of their learning, thus developing their cognitive and kinesthetic capabilities. Being able to demonstrate how one feels in a safe environment with a specialized and supported educator, can and will transfer into all areas of their life. Arts integrated learning allows for the learner the permission needed to be creative, with purpose.
