Prof. Dr. Dana Mawlood, Vice President (administration) at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) and the Director of UKH Centre for Environmental Studies (CES) participated in the Erbil Polytechnic University’s Renewable Energy Forum 2025.
Prof. Dana, who is an expert on water and environmental engineering affairs, shed the light on the key takeaways from the COP29 summit held in Baku in 2024. He underscored the importance of the involvement of academia and research in influencing policy making process relevant to water management and environment preservation.
Prof. Mawlood represented UKH in the COP29 summit and delivered presentations and policy recommendations to participants of the global summit in Baku.
