UKH Medical lecturer Dr. Avin Maroof has recently traveled to San Diego in California, US to participate in the American College of Rheumatology ACR Convergence Convergence 2023.
Dr. Avin is is a lecturer at the School of Medicine (SOM), University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) and is one of the few Iraqi fellows and international members of the American College of Rheumatology since 2018. She is representing UKH in the conference and her participation in the ACR Convergence 2023 comes after her paper was accepted by the conference. She is assigned as social media editor of Annals of Rheumatic Diseases-ARD in the conference.
Dr. Avin is the Ambassador of the Arab League of Rheumatology Research Group and a member of European League or Associations of Rheumatology EULA.

“I was honoured to represent UKH at this important global event. I have been invited to present our multicenter and multinational collaborative study on the concordance of the Patient and Physician Global Assessment Scale in Psoriatic Arthritis patients on behalf of the study’s international coauthors” she was quoted describing her participation in the convergence. She gave an interview to the convergence organisers in which she shed light on details of the presentation she delivered in the convergence.
ACR Convergence 2023 is held November 10-15 at the San Diego Convention Centre in San Diego, California.
