In collaboration with KRG High Council for Women and Development and UN Women, UKH Centre for Peacebuilding and Dialogue (CPD) organised an intensive three-day training titled “National Women Peace Mediators Network in the KRI.”
This initiative aims to train and empower women mediators to actively contribute to peacebuilding, mediation, and conflict resolution across the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, the trainings provided a platform to support the implementation of Iraq’s 3rd National Action Plan (NAP III) on Women, Peace, and Security through the Network’s activities.
Another goal of this training is to foster collaboration among local communities, governmental entities, and international partners in advancing gender-sensitive peacebuilding initiatives.
Through this partnership, UKH-CPD reaffirms its commitment to advancing gender-inclusive peace efforts and supporting Iraq’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security.
