The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) has launched its first international blended mobility initiative, marking a major milestone in internationalisation and student-centred education.

The initiative enables CSE students to participate in international, multidisciplinary project teams, combining virtual collaboration over an academic semester with short-term physical mobility, including international kick-off and final presentation events. Designed to simulate real professional environments, the programme enhances students’ global collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Participation is academically recognised and integrated into students’ study programmes, strengthening employability, research readiness, and global competencies. The initiative also exposes students to European higher education practices, blended learning models, and international quality standards, while fostering cross-cultural awareness and professional confidence.
This initiative reflects the CSE Department’s commitment to innovation, international collaboration, and student-focused learning, and lays the foundation for future global academic partnerships.
