The University of Krudistan Hewlêr (UKH) Centre for Environmental Studies (CES), in cooperation with ElBarlament, hosted the “Democracy Needs, Civic Education and Climate Change” symposium on Saturday 7 December 2024.
The event presented the achievements of its Iraq-centred project, and “OURAQ” digital platform. The event also cinlucded two panel discussions on timely matters, titled
related to civic education discussions on the following topics:
“Empowering Youth and Women: Building Civic Skills for Effective Climate Action and participation” and “How Can Civic Education Combat Disinformation and Strengthen Participation? respectively.
Experts and speakers across different fileds participated in the discussions which was followed by insightufl Q&A sessions at the end.
