A delegation from the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) visited the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MHESR) today and met with H.E. Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The UKH delegation included Dr. Zana Ibrahim, Interim President of UKH, Dr. Teshk Nouri Shawis, Dean of the School of Medicine, and Ms. Noor Jasim, Public Relations and External Engagement Manager.
During the meeting, Minister Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir commended UKH as one of the leading higher education institutions in the region and reaffirmed the Ministry’s ongoing support for the university’s mission and development. In response, Dr. Zana emphasized UKH’s commitment to preparing students for success through maintaining rigorous admissions standards, offering strong and up-to-date academic programmes, and attracting distinguished faculty.
Also attending the meeting were Dr. Amanj Abdullah Saeed, Senior Advisor to the Minister, and Dr. Zhala Saeed Khatat, Director General of Research and Development at the Ministry. Both echoed the Minister’s remarks and reiterated the Ministry’s support for UKH’s role in advancing higher education in the Kurdistan Region.
