UKH had the honour of welcoming H.E. Jun Il Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Iraq, for an official visit on 17 November 2025.
As part of his visit, the Ambassador delivered a seminar titled “Korea’s Development Experience and Its Implications,” attended by UKH students, faculty, and staff. The session provided valuable insights into Korea’s development model and its relevance to the region.
Students and faculty also engaged in an open discussion with the Ambassador, contributing to a thoughtful and productive exchange of ideas.
During his time on campus, H.E. Jun Il Lee met with the UKH Interim President and toured the university facilities, gaining an overview of UKH’s academic environment and ongoing initiatives.
