Will Ostick and Andy Halus, Public Affairs Officers at the US Embassy in Baghdad visited UKH on Tuesday 17 September 2024. They were accompanied by Kim Strollo, the US Consulate General’s Public Affairs Officer in Erbil and were warmly welcomed by UKH President Prof. Dr. Keith Sharp and Vice President Prof. Dr. Dana Mawlood.
UKH President gave an overview on UKH’s recent expansion, future plans and ways to the further internationalisation of the university.
The two sides discussed the existing cooperation between UKH and the US envoy in Erbil, especially the American Corner Erbil (ACE) which is hosted inside our library. They also underlined the importance of continuing the cooperations and building new ones to boost Kurdistan and Iraq’s higher education status.
