The University of Kurdistan Hewler (UKH) is glad to announce two separate competitions; UKH Short Film and Logo Design Competitions, for UKH students and alumni only.
The competitions were inspired by our belief that our students and alumni are our ambassadors and hold unique visions about their university and their understanding of it. This is an opportunity for you to harness your creativity to display your vision, and for us to get to know your vision and share it with your peers.
If you are interested in this competition, please read the requirements for both competitions carefully and submit your short film and designed logo before 4:30 PM on 15 November 2022.
Apply for UKH Logo Design Competition:
Criteria
- Designs submitted should reflect UKH vision, mission and heritage seen through the applicant’s perspective and unique point of view.
- The winning design will receive a prize of $1000.
- The competition is open to all UKH students and alumni.
- The closing date for entries will be 4.30 pm on 15 November 2022. Any entries received after this time will be disqualified.
- Entries should be submitted in colour, and in digital format.
- Please, clearly indicate your full name, programme and year of either studying or graduation within your application.
- Designs submitted should reflect UKH vision, mission and heritage seen through the applicant’s perspective and unique point of view.

Apply for UKH Short Film Competition:
- UKH believes that each and every one of you is UKH Ambassador. One picture is a million words – imagine you are the UKH Ambassador representing the University in foreign lands – show the world what is UKH through your lenses.
- Produce a 3-minute about UKH and anything related to it in maximum 3 minutes.
- Please know that we would like you to use your creativity freely with no restrictions.
- You are allowed to use any devices that you would like, mobile phone, professional camera or other tools you would like to use.
- You can make any stories you would like for your films whether it is about academic life, student life, social life, UKH campus and any technics you think fits including voiceovers, infographics, narration, interviews…etc.
- Please connect to your friends (students and alumni) to get ideas for the story and also showcasing them.
- The top 3 films will receive a prize of $1500, $1200 and $1000.
- The competition is open to all UKH students and alumni.
