The School of Medicine (SOM) at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) hosted a series of empowering workshops between 17th and 26th April 2024.
The workshops, titled “ABC of Self-Assessment Study” was held in collaboration with Iraq’s National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges (NCAMC) on SOM premises.
The workshop welcomed more than 68 members of self-assessment study committees (Task Subcommittees) from over 20 medical colleges from various parts of Iraq. The event unfolded from the 17th to the 21st of April 2024 via the Zoom platform, followed by an intensive training workshop on the 25th and 26th of April 2024 in SOM.
NCAMC members facilitated this workshop, which aimed to bolster the capabilities of self-assessment committees in pivotal areas such as conducting self-assessment studies, generating evidence, crafting comprehensive self-assessment reports (SAR), and efficiently indexing these reports. Experienced lecturers from NCAMC members led participants through practical sessions, enhancing their skills and expertise in self-assessment methodologies. The training delved deep into the practical applications of self-assessment studies, equipping participants with the necessary skills to conduct thorough studies and produce reports.
