The University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) is proud to announce the second round of English Language Training for officers from the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs (MOPA) of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). This training is being sponsored by the British Consul General in Erbil. UKH hosted a small opening ceremony of the course, in which UKH Vice President Prof. Dr. Dana Mawlood and Wing Commander Alex Jones, and Brigadier Nabaz Salah Sadeeq delivered opening remarks.
In early 2022, UKH hosted this English language training for MOPA officers under the supervision of the British Consulate General in Erbil. One of the students of the last year’s programme was selected to join an advanced military course in the UK. Such language courses can help MOPA staff access a wider range of military related courses and helps them to be lifelong learners.
