On June 24, 2025, the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) proudly hosted the First Kurdistan Mathematics Competition, in collaboration with the Kurdistan Mathematical Society (KMS) and with the support of Vision Education, Halabja Group, and Arcella.
19 teams from 16 universities across the region showcased their talent and passion for mathematics in a vibrant celebration of academic excellence. Students from the Soran University secured first place in this landmark event.
This competition marks a major step in identifying top talents to represent the Kurdistan Region at the International Mathematics Competition (IMC). The assessment of the competition focused on key mathematical areas, including: Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Ordinary Differential Equations.
