On May 27, 2025, the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) proudly hosted the UKH Expo 2025, an event dedicated to celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ideas of our students and alumni. The Expo featured an impressive range of projects and businesses developed by members of the UKH community, highlighting their creativity, determination, and readiness to contribute to the region’s economic and social development.

The event was further distinguished by the honoured presence of Mr. Steven Bitner, the U.S. Consul General in Erbil, who toured the exhibitions and engaged directly with participants. His presence underscored the growing international recognition of UKH’s role in fostering talent and innovation.

Throughout the day, visitors explored a diverse array of student-led projects, from technology start-ups and social enterprises to creative solutions in sectors such as healthcare, education, and sustainable development. The Expo not only provided a platform for showcasing entrepreneurial skills but also demonstrated how UKH’s commitment to experiential learning extends beyond traditional classroom boundaries.

UKH remains steadfast in its mission to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to transform ideas into impactful initiatives. Through events like the UKH Expo, the University continues to support its students and alumni in becoming drivers of economic growth, social innovation, and regional progress.
