On November 8-9 and 29-30, 2024, UKH School of Medicine hosted two sessions of CBRNE Medical First Responder Volunteer Surge Capacity Force Training Workshops. The workshops were sponsored by Health Secutiry Partners (HSP) and attended by a cohort of 34 newly graduated doctors, nurses, and other medical first responders from Duhok and Sulaymaniyah. The training aimed to equip civilian volunteers with foundational CBRNE awareness and operational-level skills in basic life support and first aid. The Volunteer Force Trainings are set to continue in the coming months, engaging additional volunteers from across the Kurdistan Region.
