Library Advisory Committee
The Library Advisory Committee was established to create a forum through which the Library could regularly communicate with all of its stakeholders and users; across all university departments and the student body. About:
- Issues relating to the effective delivery of service.
- New processes, products or services.
- Requirement for stakeholder engagement for major projects and plans.
The Library Advisory Committee membership comprises a representative from each of each of the academic departments, the Director of IT Administration, the Director of Engineering and Services and two or more student representatives, who may be nominated by, or members of the Student’s Union. Thus members are able to offer feedback, advice and counsel reflecting the views of staff and students’ they represent directly to the Library Director.
The Library will keep the Academic Board informed of changes which might impact the work of the Board and the wider University community. The committee meets every six weeks, or as needed, and the approved minutes are distributed to all members, heads of departments and the Vice-Chancellor for dissemination to staff and students.
