Pauline Mcloone, PhD

Introduction

Dr Pauline McLoone is an Assistant Professor of Pre-Clinical Sciences at the University of Kurdistan Hewler (UKH), School of Medicine. She joined UKH in August 2023. Previously, she held faculty positions at University of Glasgow and Nazarbayev University School of Medicine in Kazakhstan. She also worked as a postdoctoral research scientist with the University of Edinburgh and in short term research posts with John Hopkins University and University of Wales College of Medicine.

• - BSc (Hons) Immunology, University of Glasgow, 1995.

Research

Dr McLoone’s research interests include investigating novel therapies for skin disease and evaluating health risks associated with ultraviolet radiation exposure. She has published several scientific articles mainly in the areas of Dermatology and Immunology.
