Ali Mohammad Salih, PhD

Introduction

Dr. Ali Muhammed Salih Barzangy is an architect, educator, and researcher currently serving as Programme Director of Architectural Engineering at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH). He holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from Newcastle University (UK), where his research focused on building performance and environmental analysis. He also earned an MSc in Building Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Training.

Ali’s academic work integrates design teaching with performance-based approaches, guiding students to link creative thinking with practical, real-world applications. In addition to his academic role, he has experience in architectural design and project management, contributing to complex, large-scale developments.
