Ahmad Bayiz Ahmad, PhD

Overview
Ahmad Bayiz is the Programme Director of Business, Management and Economics in the School of Management and Economics at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH). He previously worked as Acting Chair (Jan 2022 – Oct 2022) of Business and Management Department at UKH; a PostDoctoral Research Fellow (Jan 2019 – Dec 2021) at the School of International and Public Affairs of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Before joining UKH, he worked as a tenured lecturer (Oct 2015 – Sept 2022) at the University of Raparin.
Ahmad received PhD from Beihang University (2018), MPA from Tsinghua University (2019), MBA from the University of Canberra (2014), Graduate Certificate from the University of South Australia (2012), and a BSc (with 1st class honors and 2nd top student in the department) from the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (2010).
His research focus is interdisciplinary: he mainly studies employee attitudes and behaviors in public organizations. Ahmad employs both quantitative (cross-sectional, longitudinal and survey experiments) and qualitative methods in my studies. To further his expertise on employee attitudes and behaviors, he has developed collaborative networks with scholars in various countries, including Australia, China, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
Ahmad has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels (EMBA and MSc) and also successfully supervised over a dozen masters’ dissertation focusing on the human side of organisations. He has also participated various international conferences in countries such as China and New Zealand.
In 2018, Ahmad was ranked and awarded the No. 1 Social Science Researcher of the Year by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. As of today, he has received more than $14,000 for my research that has resulted in publications in prestigious international peer reviewed journals such as Public Administration Review, International Public Management Journal, Review of Public Personnel Administration, Public Personnel Management, Journal of Knowledge Management and other international journals. Ahmad also works as peer reviewer/editorial board member/article editor of over a dozen prestigious international journals such as Public Administration Review, International Journal of Public Administration…. etc.
In 2021 and 2022, he was invited as a Visiting Professor from the University College Landon’s School of Public Policy (ranked 8th in the world) in the UK and Aalen University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
