The Qaysariya of the Tailors and the Bazar of Erbil: A Living Heritage – History, Documentation, and Current Challenges

UKH Centre for Environmental Studies (CES) and the Academic Research Institute in Iraq (TARII) are partnering to organise a special event about the history of the Qaysariya of Erbil and its unique value to the city’s identity. The recent tragic fire at the Qaysariya is a strong reminder of the importance of taking action to preserve and protect our heritage.

Both main buildings of the Qaysariya are not in their best shape and status. Join us to discuss in details the upcoming joint project between The Erbil Governorate, KRG Department of Antiquities, and Germany’s TU Berlin and the German Archaeological Institute.
