Drought and the Impact of Climate Change on the Political, Economic, and Demographic Situation of Iraq

100%

Iraq’s future hangs in the balance. Drought and climate change are wreaking havoc on its social, political, and economic stability. This crisis demands immediate action.

Join us for a critical symposium to collaboratively develop solutions that will safeguard Iraq’s future. By analysing the profound effects of drought and climate change on Iraq’s landscapes – political, economic, and demographic – we can foster understanding and dialogue to build resilience and adaptation strategies.

This symposium brings together local and international experts, academics, government officials, and stakeholders and examine the challenges posed by climate change-induced drought and develop actionable solutions to address its multifaceted effects.

The symposium is organised in partnership between UKH’s Centre for Environmental Studies (CES), CFRI – Centre Français de Recherche sur l’Irak, Bahr Alolom Forum, and powered by Vision Education.
