UKH School of Medicine (SOM) announced an awareness campaign on the accreditation of the school in March 2022. The first step was a seminar organised by SOM Professors Dr. Lars Peschke and Dr. Souzan Eassa in which UKH medical students were invited.
Dr. Lars gave an overview of the outcome-based integrated spiraling curriculum that SOM uses in their MBBS programme and the updated mission of the school.
Dr. Lars was followed by Dr. Souzan, who provided insights into the accreditation process based on the Iraqi National Standard for Accreditation of Medical Colleges of the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges (NCAMC) in Iraq and provided an opportunity for students to ask questions.
