Higher Diploma in English
Overview
All courses on the programme are assessed through summative and formative assessment methods. The forms of assessment are aimed at providing students an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding through creative and innovative assignments during the semester as well as mid semester exams and semester final exams. All midterm and final semester exam questions are subject to peer review and approval by the coordinator. Assignments and exams are graded through criterion-referenced grading. The rubrics are made available to the students along with the assignment description at the beginning of the semester.
Admission Requirements
- The applicant should have a minimum high school national baccalaureate average of 60% at the first attempt (without any bonus score)
- English Language Proficiency progression requirement: Minimum English Language requirement is 45 in PTE, 95 in Duolingo, 5.5 in IELTS or 64 in TOEFL iBT
