On Sunday 24 November 2024, US Consul General in Erbil Steven Bitner visited the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH). He was warmly welcomed by UKH President Prof. Dr. Keith Sharp and Vice President for Administration Prof. Dr. Dana Mawlood.
Since his appointment in Erbil, this is the first visit of Mr. Bitner to UKH Campus. Prof. Sharp gave a brief overview of UKH’s history, the vision behind founding the university, it’s status and future plans.
The Consul General expressed his happiness for the visit and shed light on how education can make a big impact on our communities, whether in technology, social sciences, environment, medicine, economics and other fields.
