UKH Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology Division at the School of Medicine (SOM) Dr. Srwa Khalid was awarded fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the UK. The fellowship was awarded in a ceremony held in London on the 28th of October 2022.
This certificate indicates a senior status and is given to doctors who have evidenced the highest levels of continued commitment and contribution to the specialty and maintained high standards of practice at least 12 years after achieving a membership degree of the same college.
“Fellows are elected each year from the Membership and should normally have been Members for at least 12 years and have made a significant contribution to O&G through research, teaching or publications” states the Royal College website.
Dr. Khalid has also been previously awarded a fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and she is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council in the UK and the Irish Medical Council in Ireland, following the completion certificate of specialist training in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
In addition to her expertise in this specialty, Dr. Khalid has additional certificates as a recognised trainer in the British fertility Society as well as a certified colposcopist in UK and Ireland.
