The Civil Engineering Department at University of Kurdistan Hewlêr organised a field visit to the Erbil Minaret with the aim of enhancing students’ practical knowledge and supporting academic research.
The visit provided students with the opportunity to closely examine the structural design, construction techniques, and engineering principles behind one of the city’s most iconic historical landmarks. Through the field study, students were able to connect theoretical learning with real-world engineering applications while gaining deeper insight into the architectural heritage of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
