Within UKH’s Student Talent Development and Student Wellbeing & Counseling Centres’ partnership with the SEED Foundation-Kurdistan, we hosted a special session for UKH students on personal health and well-being on May 16, 2022. During the session the students were taught about mental health, how it affects their bodies and minds, and what they can do to improve their well-being. The session also discussed some strategies to feel better such as relaxation exercises and how to get help. The session was followed by a Q&A from attending students.

The session was presented by Carlotta Passerini, SEED’s MHPSS Technical Advisor. Carlotta is a Clinical Psychologist specialized in ethnopsychiatry and has worked for several international NGOs in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
