Ara Hemn Mahmood is an Assistant Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences (SSS), Department of Politics and International Relations, at the University of Kurdistan Hawlêr (UKH). Prior to joining SSS at UKH, he taught in the College of Economy and International Relations at the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy. His expertise lies in Politics and International Relations; he also has experience in teaching Academic Debate.

Research
Ara’s research interest lies in comparative politics, power-sharing system in Iraq, and democratization. He has recently published a review article on a comparative analysis, interrogating the variation in the development of two regional organization.
