Jacob Muvingi, PhD

Introduction

Jacob Muvingi is an Assistant Professor at the UKH School of Management and Economics (SME). He has 18 years of working experience in the higher education sector in Africa, teaching in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. He has rendered services to eminent institutions in various capacities, namely, Postgraduate Programme coordinator, Research Coordinator, School Research board member, and so on. Jacob has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate theses, as well as capstone design projects. Jacob is a facilitator for banking sector specific short courses which include Funds Transfer Pricing, Asset and Liability Management, and Financial Modelling in Excel. Prior to joining academia, Jacob worked in the Banking sector in Zimbabwe for five years.

Jacob has research interest in Data Envelopment Analysis, Operations Research, Funds Transfer Pricing, Asset and Liability Management, Machine Learning Application in Banking and Finance, and FinTech. He has authored more than ten research papers, and his research has been published in prominent journals like Expert System with Applications, OPSEARCH, International Journal of Mathematics in Operational Research, International Journal of Data Science, Journal of Data Envelopment Analysis and Decision Sciences, and many others.
