Professor Tarik A. Rashid, Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA) and Professor at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH), delivered a keynote address at the inaugural International Symposium on University Medical Education Conference (ISUMEC 2025).
Organised by Al-Subtain University of Medical Sciences, the international branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), ISUMEC 2025 marked a major milestone in advancing medical and health sciences education in Iraq.
In his keynote presentation, titled “Learning Together: The Human–Artificial Intelligence Alliance in Education and Health,” Professor Rashid discussed how human and artificial intelligence can work together to transform learning, research, and healthcare delivery. He emphasized the importance of trust, transparency, and collaboration in developing ethical and effective AI systems that enhance education and healthcare outcomes.
