Symposium: Climate Change and Its Impacts

100%

For decades, global climate change has been one of the most prominent and influential concerns confronting the planet and humanity. Several international conferences and summits have been held to address the potentially catastrophic consequences. The most recent one was COP27, which was attended by more than 200 countries in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. It is worth mentioning that, according to the UNEP, Iraq is the fifth-most vulnerable country in the world to climate change.

The University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) will host this event under the title “Climate Change and its Impacts on the Environment and Public Health in Kurdistan” on January 10, 2023, from 10:00–13:30. Registration will begin between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.

The event is supported by the Center for Environmental Studies (CES) at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) and Aynda Private Technical Institute (APTI) in Erbil.
