Erbil, Kurdistan Region – 25 October 2026 –Asmaa Shahrazad, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) student at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH), represented the Kurdistan Region of Iraq as the only delegate from the region at the International Human Rights Summit, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, United States of America.
The summit brought together more than 550 young leaders from 82 countries. During the event, Asmaa delivered a speech highlighting human rights, youth empowerment, overcoming barriers faced by young people in exercising their rights, fostering a new generation of global leaders, and creating a positive impact on society.
