On May 9th and 10th 2025, UKH School of Medicine (SOM) hosted the fourth CBRNE sessions of Medical First Responder Volunteer Surge Capacity Force Training Workshops, sponsored by Health Security Partners (HSP). The sessions were attended by a cohort of 14 newly graduated doctors, nurses, and other medical first responders from Garmian and Raparin areas.
The workshops aimed to equip civilian volunteers with foundational CBRNE awareness and operational-level skills in basic life support and first aid. The Volunteer Force Trainings are set to continue in the upcoming months, engaging additional volunteers from across the Kurdistan Region.
