- Completion of a recognised university undergraduate degree, at least to Bachelor level in a relevant discipline; Political Science, International Relations, Security Studies
- English Language Proficiency progression requirement: Minimum English Language requirement is 45 in PTE, 95 in Duolingo, 5.5 in IELTS or 64 in TOEFL iBT

Skills Development
After successful completion of the Programme, students should be able to demonstrate:
- Understanding of the nature and significance of politics at home and globally.
Knowledge and understanding of the origins and evolution of the international political system, including contemporary changes underway.
Ability to apply appropriate concepts, theories and methods used in the study of politics to the analysis of political ideas, institutions and practices. - Ability to gather, organise and deploy evidence, data and information from a variety of secondary and some primary sources.
- Ability to construct reasoned argument, collect and synthesize relevant data and exercise critical judgment.
Ability to report research results, recognizing the ethical requirements of study which necessitates critical and reflective use of information and communications technology in the learning process. - Ability to organize and structure an extended argument, advancing clear critical positions.
- Ability to read and understand complex texts and nuanced literature pertaining to political science and international relations.
- Work independently, demonstrating initiative, self-organisation and time management, progressing through the degree programme to become a mature and independent learner.
