Introduction
Vienna Salam is an Assistant Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Kurdistan-Hewlêr (UKH) and currently serves as Manager of the Center for Pedagogy and Academic Development (since February 2026). She teaches literary theory, comparative literature, and interpretation, and contributes to curriculum development and student-centered learning initiatives. Her research interests include post-colonial critique, feminist theory, cultural identity, and translation studies. She is also active in literary translation and Kurdish literary publishing.

Research
Her research focuses on comparative literature, post-colonial theory, feminism, feminist pedagogy, cultural identity, and translation studies. Her work bridges Kurdish and English literary traditions, examining nationalism, universalism, and representations of identity. She has presented internationally on Kurdish identity and cultural performance and has contributed to feminist and post-colonial scholarship through research, translation, and editorial work.
