Dr. Sherzad Ahmed Shahab is an economist specializing in financial economics, macro-finance, and applied econometrics, with a strong focus on policy-oriented research in emerging and developing economies, particularly the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He holds a PhD in Economics (Financial Economics) from Universiti Utara Malaysia, in addition to a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He has been with the department of Economics and Finance since 15 Feb 2026.
