Introduction
Dr. Omed Hassan Ahmed is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Huddersfield, UK (2022), along with MSc and BSc degrees from leading British universities. With over a decade of academic and research experience, Dr. Ahmed specializes in Optimization Algorithms, Fog Computing, Task Scheduling, Machine Learning and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT).
He has authored over 41 peer-reviewed journal papers and five academic books, earning more than 1,900 Google Scholar citations. Dr. Ahmed is widely recognized for his leadership in academia, particularly through initiatives such as the Erasmus+ mobility program and the Huawei ICT Academy, where his students achieved top regional and global rankings. His contributions have been acknowledged with multiple awards, including Huawei’s Most Valuable Instructor 2025.
Beyond research and teaching, Dr. Ahmed is actively engaged in international collaborations, keynote speaking, and advancing digital transformation and AI integration in higher education.
