Kamran Panaghi
Assistant Professor
Overview
Dr. Panaghi’s expertise is in the field of geotechnical engineering with emphasis on the behavioural analysis of soil/rock media via numerical and experimental modeling. He also takes a keen interest in the safety assessment of dams and other water-associated structures. The characterisation of geological structures for rock engineering purposes using crack tensor theory, evaluation of earthquake-prone areas, and analyzing ground improvement techniques to satisfy aseismic design considerations are his other interests.
