Introduction
Abdul Bashiru is currently an Assistant Professor in Marketing at the UKH School of Management and Economics (SME). His teaching and research areas of expertise encompasses social media analytics, service marketing, brand management, sustainable e-tourism, technology adoption, Fintech, among others. Before joining the UKH in 2024, Abdul Bashiru worked at various universities worldwide, such as Tomas Bata University in Zlin (Czech Republic), Rabat Business School (International University of Rabat, Morocco), and most recently, Westminster International University (an accredited institution of the University of Westminster in Uzbekistan). He is currently an External Examiner at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), Ghana, and a Visiting Professor at Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) (AACSB Accredited), Mexico. Abdul Bashiru has a profound background in leading and contributing to funded projects. As a Research Fellow in Faiwork Project, Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, UK, he is presently playing the role of a Co-Principal Investigator of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) 2023 project (£12,000) on Decent Work Standards: Case of Majorel company in Morocco, in collaboration with GIZ Germany and Fairwork (University of Oxford).

Abdul Bashiru has over 70 publications in leading ABS/ABDC/QS-listed journals and WoS/Scopus-listed conference proceedings. Notably, his research outcomes have made significant contributions to impactful journals such as the International Journal of Information Management (ABDC-A*, Q1) International Journal of Consumer Studies (ABDC-A, Q1), Digital Business (Q1), Journal of Competitiveness (Q1), Oeconomia Copernicana (Q1), among others. His active participation and presentations at numerous international scientific conferences hosted in countries including the USA, the UK, France, Germany, and Saudi Arabia further evidence his research impact. He serves as Associate Editor for Cogent Business and Management, Editorial Review Board Member for the International Journal of Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics (IJNN), and Sectional Editor for Current Social Sciences. Abdul Bashiru has worked on multiple externally funded projects, contributing to notable recents projects like the Fair Work initiative between the University of Oxford and the International University of Rabat on the topic ‘‘Labour Standards in the Platform Economy’’. He was the Principal Investigator in the project (£21,000) on Fairwork Morocco Ratings 2022: Assessing Working Conditions in the Moroccan Platform Economy (University of Oxford, UK and International University of Rabat, Morocco). He was the Project Promoter/Leader of the IGA/FaME/2019-2020 Project (€10,000): Country-of-origin effect on domestic product/brand purchase intention toward SME’s sustainability in a developing country. He was also a Team Member of the IGA/FaME/2020-2021 Project (€ 25,000): The impact of digital transformation on customer behaviour and firm’s sustainable performance. Abdul Bashiru was a team member on projects implemented between the University of Applied Sciences Bonn (Germany) and the University of Cape Coast (Ghana) on the topic - ‘‘BET Ghana - Building Expertise and Training for growth in the consumer goods and food processing industries in Ghana’’; and “German-African University Partnership Platform for the Development of Entrepreneurs and Small and Medium Enterprises”, financed by BMZ and DAAD.
