Karwan H. Sherwani, MSc

Introduction
Dr. Karwan Sherwani is an Assistant Professor of Business and Management at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH), with more than 16 years of experience in higher education, teaching, research, academic leadership, curriculum development, quality assurance, and accreditation.
Throughout his academic career, he has held a range of academic and leadership positions, including Head of Department, Vice Dean, and Acting Dean. His professional experience also includes programme development, strategic planning, postgraduate programme coordination, institutional accreditation, and the development of academic partnerships with national and international institutions.
Karwan holds an MSc in Business and Management from the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr and a BSc in Business Administration from Salahaddin University. He is currently completing his PhD in Business Administration, specialising in Strategic Management, at Salahaddin University. He is also a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE) through the Chartered Association of Business Schools and holds the academic title of Assistant Professor awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region.
Beyond teaching and academic administration, Karwan is actively engaged in research, scholarly publishing, peer review, and international academic conferences. He has served as a managing editor and section editor of scientific journals and has extensive experience in organising and chairing academic conferences.

Research
Dr. Karwan's research interests focus primarily on leadership, organisational behaviour, strategic management, sustainability, and performance management, with particular interest in their application within organisations and higher education institutions. His research examines areas such as leadership and employee behaviour, organisational commitment, organisational change, human resource management practices, organisational justice, employee performance, quality management, sustainability, innovation, and institutional effectiveness. He has authored and co-authored more than 20 journal articles and book chapters and has contributed to publications issued by international academic publishers including Springer Nature and Emerald Publishing. His recent research has increasingly concentrated on sustainability, green innovation, organisational reputation, quality management, financial inclusion, sustainable growth, and employee responses to organisational change. In addition to his publication activities, Dr. Karwan is actively involved in academic peer review. He has served as a scientific reviewer for the Academy of Management Annual Meeting and has reviewed manuscripts for internationally recognised journals, including the International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People and Performance, Development in Practice, and Frontiers in Health Service/ section Health Workforce. Dr. Karwan has extensive experience in research supervision and methodology, having supervised over 70 undergraduate research projects and postgraduate Master's students. He is proficient in quantitative and qualitative research methods and tools, including SPSS, SmartPLS, NVivo, and QDA Miner.
