Muhammed Ahmed presented a practical and theoretical introduction to yoga on Wednesday, June 21st 2017, International Day of Yoga. The experienced yoga practitioner introduced exercises, gestures, movements and activities for beginners to familiarize participants with yoga concepts. He also explained about the meaning of yoga, its history, the different types of yoga, the role of music in yoga, how important it is to choose the right type of activity, and why 21st of June was chosen to mark yoga day. Furthermore, the benefits of yoga for health in general, and how that can change your point of view spiritually were also discussed.
