Join us this Wednesday as we host and chat with the President of the Islamic Affairs Council of Maryland, Imam Dr. Mohamad Bashar Arafat, to learn more about the lives of Muslims in the U.S., how they observe the holy month of Ramadan and the religious liberties afforded to them by the U.S. constitution. Participants will also be given a chance to ask the Imam questions.

Speaker’s Bio:
Imam Dr. Mohamad Bashar Arafat is a professor of Islamic Studies at Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU). He is also the Founder and President of the Civilizations Exchange & Cooperation Foundation (CECF) and the Islamic Affairs Council of Maryland (IACM), as well as the Founder and Dean of Al Basheer Seminary.
He has been an International Speaker since 2005 through the International Speaker's Bureau in the U.S. Department of State on topics surrounding Islam and Muslim Life in America. So far, he has conducted programs with 45 U.S. Embassies in Europe, Africa & throughout Asia. These programs over 17 years help to prepare him for his newly established School of Religious Diplomacy; for Leadership Development & Global Cooperation (SRD)
