Visiting American Professionals: STEAM Education

Today's employers are concerned that schools aren't providing students with the technical skills and communication skills necessary for today's entry-level jobs. As pressure builds to better prepare young learners for an increasingly global and increasingly technological workplace and work experiences, school leaders must collaborate and communicate with a broader collection of stakeholders. Come learn about the rationale for integrative teaching and learning, student-driven project-based and problem-based inquiry, and integrating STEM concepts in every school subject, grade and classroom. Learn about trends in interdisciplinary teaching, makerspaces and other creative spaces, and important adjustments in the way schools plan their curricula.
