American Kurdish Success Story

A virtual session through ACE Zoom Platform has arranged for Mr. Ahmed Wali who is a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State. He will share with us his story as a Kurdish-American Diplomat.
Here is a brief of what he is going to share:
“I want to share my story as a Kurdish-American, and the opportunities I received to become a U.S diplomat. The U.S. is a melting pot of different cultures and religions. I am fortunate that my family and I kept to our Kurdish traditions while also being proud U.S. citizens. My wife and I are honored to represent the United States of America in the Foreign Service worldwide. The main reasons that led me to join the Department of State were my sense of duty and patriotism, besides spreading democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. Furthermore, I want to discuss the struggles and triumphs immigrants face in the U.S. and how we can overcome adversity.”
