On Martin Luther King Day, January 16 2023, the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) celebrated the day by hosting the US Consul General, Mr. Irvin Hicks to give a lecture and Q&A session. Mr. Hicks reflected on the significance and relevance of this historical day during the lecture.
The event was attended by senior KRG officials and university students from UKH, Salahaddin University, Lebanese French University and other universities in Erbil, who contributed with questions.
As part of the continued collaboration between UKH and the US Consulate General in Erbil, the visit was concluded by the reopening of the American Corner in UKH’s Library.
