On Thursday 1 December 2022, Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Futoshi Matsumoto visited the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) and was received by UKH president Keith Sharp and UKH Dean of External Engagement and Research Dr. Bayar Mustafa.
UKH president warmly welcomed Ambassador Matsumoto and congratulated him for his new role in Iraq. The two sides discussed history and mission of UKH, as well as the university’s desire to develop more international partnerships, as well as the globalisation of the student experience.
After his meeting with UKH president, Ambassador Matsumoto met few UKH students from the department of Politics and International Relations.
